SIMs Parental Software

The SIMS Parent Website /App allows the school to easily communicate with parents. A clear dashboard gives parents an overview of their child’s school life and allows the school to collect the most up-to date data about students and their parents. Using this website /app, parents can provide additional information on crucial details such as medical information or dietary requirements and to provide all parental consents.  

With SIMS In-Touch the school can notify parents straight away if their child hasn’t arrived to school and parents can quickly reply free-of-charge with the reason for their child’s absence.  The app also allows parents to be up to date with all relevant news and events. 

SIMS Pay360 allows the school to collect payments from parents simply, securely and cost-effectively, whether it is for a school trip, an in-house event, uniform, sports club or shop purchase. SIMS Pay360 is fully integrated with our cashless catering system allowing parents to top up their child’s lunch accounts and view their purchase history with a click of a button.  

You can access all these systems from a smartphone, tablet or PC – anytime, anywhere. If you do not have access to a smartphone, tablet or computer with internet access, please email the school finance department so we can explore alternative ways of staying in touch and making payments.  

If you have more than one child at school, you’ll have access to information for all your children from the same website /app.  

Getting started with SIMS Parent and Pay360 

During the first half term, we will send an activation email to the priority 1 parent (provided on the admissions form); simply click on the link from your tablet, PC or smartphone to activate your account. 

Your activation email is unique to you and should not be used by anyone else. If you require an additional login then please email the finance office. Your activation email will expire after 28 days if it is not used.   

The invitation email will allow you to register with the Pay360 software. After that you can either go to www.sims-parent.co.uk or download the Sims Parent App and sign in with exactly the same credentials you have used for Pay360.

Getting started with SIMS In-Touch App

You do not need to register specifically for this service, as it will automatically work as a part of SIMS Software, however as soon as your Sims Parent Website /App is up and running, please ensure your email and mobile number are correct, as they will be used by the SIMS In-Touch app. 

Go4Schools

Go4Schools is used by Longdean for tracking and reporting student targets and grades. The tool supports parents and students in understanding their current working at grades and projected target levels.

Once your child joins us in September, an account will be set up for them on Go4Schools. This can be accessed via the website or the mobile app.

To access the site for the first time, click on the link above and then click on the ‘First-time User?’ link. Here you can enter your email address (this will need to be the one you have provided to Longdean) and you will then be sent an email with a new password to gain access to the site.

To access the mobile app, search for Go4Schools in your app store and download the app to your smart device. You can log in to the app using the email address and password you have set up on the website.

For a mobile app user guide, click here. Please note, Longdean currently use a different tool for homework so you can ignore references to viewing homework on Go4Schools in the user guide.

Show My Homework

Show My Homework (also known as SatchelOne) is used by the staff at Longdean to set homework tasks for students. Parents and students have access to the site/app to review upcoming tasks and confirm completion.

The Show My Homework app is available for Android and Apple devices, available from the Google Play Store or The App Store, and the website is available to Windows and Desktop Apple users.

Once your child joins us in September, they will be shown how to access the school network and the Show My Homework site during their first few computing lessons. Students will be able to log into the app or the website using their school Office 365 details, which will be their school email address and their school password. They should select the Orange Office 365 button on the app or the website. 

Shortly after starting at Longdean, your child will bring a slip of paper home with log in details for you to gain parent/guardian access the Show My Homework website and mobile app. Please follow the instructions below to log in to the website or mobile app.

Logging on to the website as a parent:

  • Go to www.satchelone.com/signup
  • Click on the parent tab along the top and select ‘I don’t have an account yet’
  • Enter the school name, your email address and the parent code provided on the slip of paper your child brings home
  • Double check the child details on the pop up and accept the terms and conditions
  • Enter your details, choose a password and then click on save
  • If you already have another student at the school then you can add them to the site by going to ‘Account Settings’, ‘Link another student to your account’ and then enter the parent code.

Logging in to the mobile app:

  • Search and download Satchel One from the App Store
  • Choose the ‘Sign in with PIN or Parent Code’ option
  • Enter the parent code provided on the slip of paper your child brings home and choose ‘Submit’
  • Move the scroll bar to confirm that you agree to the T&C, then choose ‘Confirm and Continue’
  • Enter your name, email address and a password and then choose ‘Create account and log in’
  • If you already have another student at the school then you can add them to the app by going to ‘Settings’, ‘Student Management’, click on the plus icon and then enter the parent code.

Students who do not have access to a smart phone or the internet on a device outside school have access to the school computers before school, during break and lunch, and after school in the homework club. Homework can be noted or printed out should students require a paper-based list.

The Show My Homework website can be used to view all homework set across the school without the requirement to log in. However, to see the homework set specifically for your child and to gain a deeper insight into the homework your child receives, you will need to log in as above.

Operoo

We have recently adopted a new system at Longdean called Operoo to gather information for our preadmission process. This tool is used to gather information from you about your child and to obtain consent for school related policies and procedures online.

Shortly after your child has been allocated a place at Longdean, you will receive an email from Operoo with your registration details (please remember to check your junk folder if you do not receive an email).

From Longdean School’s perspective, you or your child’s information will only be visible by the relevant staff for you or your child and will be managed in accordance with our privacy policies.
