Longdean School offers the opportunity to participate in a laptop lease scheme which enables families to provide a laptop specifically for their child without the upfront costs, which can be used in school and at home. Use of the devices in school is as directed by teachers for use in lessons to enhance learning.
Laptop leasing scheme
A letter will be sent out to notify you when the scheme is open for orders and applications are made via an online portal at Laptop Scheme.
Payments are made as a monthly contribution via direct debit up to a maximum of 36 months. There is a reduced rate for siblings and those on Pupil Premium. There is no credit check undertaken and the scheme includes Accidental Damage and theft Insurance for the period that the monthly contributions are made (with a maximum of 2 claims per year). The device also has a 1 year warranty and comes with a protective neoprene sleeve.
The laptops are fully supported by the school for the time that the student remains at Longdean.

Insurance
The insurance period varies but is generally provided for the same period that you are making monthly contributions.
In order to make an insurance claim or if you have a query related to your insurance, please contact Edutech by emailing support@edutech.zone. Please also copy in schoollaptops@longdean.herts.sch.uk
Edutech will then take you through the claim process.
