Parent Zone
Parents
play an
important
part in
the life
of the
school.
Parents are
kept up
to date
with
developments
via
the
Longdean
Link
our
fortnightly
newsletter
- a copy
of which
is
always
available
on this
website.
We have
two
Learning
Review
Days
each
year
where
parents
come in
to
school
to
discuss
the
progress
of their
child's
learning.
In
addition,
there is
one
Parents
Evening
each
year
where
parents can
come in
to
school
to meet
your
child's
subject
teachers.
Day to
day
contact
with the
school
is
maintained
via the
students'
planner.
Students
carry
this
with
them to
all
lessons
and
record
extended
learning
in the
diary
section.
We ask
students,
parents
and form
tutors
to sign
the
diary
each
week to
help
them
keep a
record
of their
work in
school.
In each
weekly
section
of the
planner
is a
space
for
parents
and
staff to
write
notes to
each
other
and this
is a
very
effective
way to
communicate
on day
to day
matters.
For
parents
the form
tutor is
usually
the
first
point of
contact
if there
are any
queries
or
concerns.
Form
tutors
can be
contacted
via the
planner
or by
contacting
the
school
office.
