A Level English Language and Literature AQA Spec B (2725)
Unit 3 – Talk in Life and Literature – Exam – 2 hours

60% of the total A2 marks

30% of the total A level marks

Students study Hamlet and spontaneous talk. 

 

Unit 4 – Text transformation – coursework

Students choose from a selection of poets, authors and playwrights to study.

2 assignments are completed as well as a commentary.

 

A Level English Literature AQA Spec B (2745)

Unit 3 – Texts and genres - Exam - 2 hours

60% of the total A2 marks

30 % of the total A level marks

Minimum three texts for study including at least one 1300-1800. Candidates study the topic Elements of the Gothic.

Unit 4 – Further and independent reading - Coursework

40% of the total A2 marks

20% of the total A level marks

A portfolio of two pieces of written coursework. (One may be re-creative).

  • First piece a comparative study of an aspect of two texts. 1500-2000 words.
  • Second piece an application of an aspect of critical anthology to a literary text (1200 – 1500 words).
